Help Invisible Oranges continue writing about metal music
We’re proud to have saved long-running metal site Invisible Oranges from shutting down four years ago, and we continue to do what we can for the site and its team of writers as they churn out new original content day after day, a mix of long reads, song premieres, regular columns, and thoughtful thinkpieces on everything from the most obscure black metal bands to how Kanye West is borrowing from metal fashion. Jon’s weekly New Release roundup is a very popular feature, as are IO’s end of year lists which help us catch up on the best new metal music every year. The list goes on.
Help the site have a very dark future by BECOMING A PATRON of Invisible Oranges today! Bonus: there are some rewards you can get by helping out.
More from their Patreon page:
Invisible Oranges, an independent publication founded in 2006, dedicates itself to cutting-edge metal music and high-quality journalism.
For 12 years, Invisible Oranges has posted regular, thoughtful, and exclusive content thanks to the hard work of countless writers, many of whom honed their invaluable craft here before moving on to careers at major publications.
Saving Invisible Oranges from shutting down in 2013, BrooklynVegan has since given the site an additional half-decade of blooming life. Unfortunately, our story hasn’t developed without ongoing challenges: Invisible Oranges is still a barely-break-even operation with no full-time employees and a ton of volunteer help.
BrooklynVegan is a small, 100% independent company fighting daily to survive as all its competitors get swallowed up by bigger companies or go out of business. Invisible Oranges is basically an even smaller outfit within that small company. We want Invisible Oranges to grow for another 10, 15, 20 years with top-notch new content and features for everyone’s enjoyment.
You can help us get there. We cannot evolve on dwindling advertisement revenue alone. Please become a patron of Invisible Oranges and likewise a part of our journey.
Bear with us, though, as we’re new to this Patreon thing. We don’t have fully developed “rewards” at the moment, but when we enhance them, we’ll make sure to include existing patrons at their respective contribution levels. Hopefully the biggest reward is your continued enjoyment of Invisible Oranges for many years to come!
Thank you for reading. Thank you for supporting. Thank you for making this possible. Much love from the editors and writers at Invisible Oranges!
