Hesitation Wounds

Hesitation Wounds (mem Touche Amore) announce new LP, share a track

Hardcore supergroup Hesitation Wounds — whose current lineup is Jeremy Bolm of Touche Amore, Stephen LaCour (ex-Trap Them), Neeraj Kane (The Hope Conspiracy), and new drummer Thomas Cantwell (Gouge Away, Axis), who’s taking over for Jay Weinberg (who is currently busy with Slipknot) — have announced their second album, following 2016’s great Awake For Everything (6131). The new LP is called Chicanery and it comes out August 30 via Deathwish (pre-order). Touche Amore have expanded their sound into cleaner, more melodic territory and began experimenting with clean vocals, but if you miss when they made straight-up aggressive hardcore, you should hear Hesitation Wounds’ new single “Paragons of Virtue.” It’s a serious ripper and you can stream it below.

Hesitation Wounds’ first album was also a more political album than Jeremy usually makes with Touche Amore, and we haven’t heard the whole new album yet but a press release suggests that this new album will follow suit. The album was recorded by Zach Tuch (Trash Talk, Movements) and mixed by Kurt Ballou of Converge, and fans of that band should check out this new song too.
