Hiccup made a video for "Dad Jokes," playing shows

Hiccup

NYC’s Hiccup, whose lineup includes members of mid-2000s era pop punks The Unlovables and The Chris Gethard Show‘s house band, released their debut album Imaginary Enemies earlier this year on Father/Daughter Records. It was produced by Kyle Gilbride of the now-defunct Swearin’ (who’s also recorded Waxahatchee, All Dogs, Radiator Hospital, and more), and it’s a nice dose of ’60s girl group-inspired indie-punk. We’ve got the premiere of the video for “Dad Jokes,” which was directed by Brendan McKnight. It splices together performance footage of the band with shots of them hanging out and shots of them in front of a trippy green-screen. You can watch it and stream the whole album below.

Hiccup also play The Fest this October, and they have three hometown shows before then: August 25 at Sunnyvale with Worriers, Hurry and Crusher (tickets); September 23 at Mercury Lounge with The Shacks and God Tiny (tickets); and Knitting Factory on October 2 with Kino Kimino, The Lounge Act and Funcrusher (tickets). All dates are listed below.

Worriers are also releasing a new album and playing shows with Katie Ellen and Thin Lips, including Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory on November 4 (tickets).
