High On Fire win Grammy for Best Metal Performance

High On Fire won the first-ever Grammy in their two-decade-plus career. They took home the award for Best Metal Performance for “Electric Messiah,” beating Deafheaven, Between the Buried and Me, Trivium, and Underoath. During his acceptance speech, Matt Pike said, “We never really needed an award for doing what we love. 21 years later we finally got this, thank you.”

Matt was walking with a cane, but he mostly seemed to be doing much better after his recent medical emergency. We hope they get back on the road soon.
