His Clancyness releasing new single (listen to “Pale Fear”)

Italy’s His Clancyness are back with their first new music in three years, a double a-side single due out June 10 via Maple Death. The band, led by Jonathan Clancy, made the record in Bristol, UK at Portishead’s Invada Studios with engineer Stu Matthews (BEAK>, Portishead, Horrors). While there is some of that studio’s signature claustrophobic clank, Clancy’s pop proclivities shine through the haze, which makes for an appealing push-pull-dynamic. We’ve got the premiere of “Pale Fear” and you can stream it below.
