Hope Sandoval

Hope Sandoval shares Kurt Vile collaboration, details new album 'Until the Hunter'

We recently mentioned that Mazzy Star singer Hope Sandoval would release her first Warm Inventions album since 2009, Until the Hunter, and that it would feature Kurt Vile singing on the single “Let Me Get There.” That song is out now, and it’s a lovely duet between the two singers over laid-back rhythms and some jammy lead guitar. Kurt said the following about working with Hope and her Warm Inventions partner, My Bloody Valentine’s Colm Ó Cíosóig:

It was a total honor to sing along to a beautifully hypnotic soul groove with heavyweights like Hope, Colm, and all the other top notch musos. To respond to Hope’s call in song of letting her get there felt right and real and gave me chills while singing, even though I knew they already got there years before I walked in the building.

Until the Hunter is out November 4 via Hope’s Tendril Tales label (distributed by INGrooves), and it also features “Isn’t It True,” which Hope released as a Record Store Day single. Watch the video for that song and check out the album’s tracklist:
