Horrendous playing shows, including NYC with Kosmodemonic & Sentient Horror

Old-school death metal revivalists Horrendous recently wrapped their big tour with Tribulation and Youth Code. Invisible Oranges caught them in Boston, and had this to say:

Philadelphia’s Horrendous opened the night with a satisfying blast of vintage-styled death metal. The group, who are also touring an acclaimed 2015 release in Anareta, performed with ferocious drive while still frequently betraying how much fun they were having up there.

If that sounds good to you (it probably should, given how awesome last year’s Anareta was), you will soon have the chance to catch these guys in NYC again, as they’ve announced a headlining show at Saint Vitus on December 3. They’ll be joined by NYC psych-metal outfit Kosmodemonic (with whom Horrendous have played NYC before), and NJ’s swe-death sounding Sentient Horror, for whom this is a record release show. Tickets for that are on sale now.

Sentient Horror have released the the track “Abyssal Ways,” which is a real ripper, from that new album. Horrendous have a couple other east coast dates with heavyweights coming up in October; they open for Gorguts in Baltimore and Satan in Philly. Check those out, and listen to music from all three bands on the Saint Vitus bill, below.
