Hot Snakes played new songs at Bell House w/ SAVAK & Piggies (pics, setlist)

Back in August, Hot Snakes, who reunited in 2011 (with both of their drummers in tow), surprised us with the news that they would be releasing their first new album since 2004’s Audit in Progress. It’s coming out in 2018 via Sub Pop, who will also reissue the band’s other three albums at that time.

They haven’t released any music off the album yet, but they’re currently on a BrooklynVegan-presented tour playing a good chunk of new songs and plenty of classics. The tour landed in Brooklyn last night (11/16) for a sold-out show, which had Hot Snakes joined by SAVAK, whose Sohrab Habibion used to play with Hot Snakes singer Rick Froberg in Obits (and for this show, SAVAK’s drummer Matt Schulz was replaced by Obits’ Alexis Fleisig). Piggies opened as well. Pictures are in the gallery above and the setlist (new songs included) is below.

Also below, watch a video of them playing one of the new songs (presumably “I Need A Doctor”) in Portland.
