Huichica East announces 2019 lineup (Roky Erickson, Helado Negro, more)
Music, food, and wine festival Huichica East returns to Chaseholm Farms in Pine Plains, NY on August 9-10 for its 2019 edition. The festival, which is presented by the ((folkYEAH!))) folks, Sonoma’s Gundlach Bundschu Winery, and Chaseholm Farm, is headlined this year by Roky Erickson, who will perform The 13th Floor Elevators’ Easter Everywhere. The lineup also includes Helado Negro, Mail the Horse (with a “special guest,” performing a tribute to Music from Big Pink, and other classic selections from The Band), Howlin Rain, The Mammals, Garcia Peoples, Shana Falana, Bill McKay, Driftwood Soldier, Mad Alchemy Liquid Light Show, and a “mystery band” to be announced.
General admission two-day weekend passes to Huichica are on sale now, and single day passes are set to go on sale on May 24.
Huichica also has a Sonoma, CA edition that happens at Gundlach Bundschu Winery on June 7-8 with Lee Fields & The Expressions, Real Estate, Connan Mockasin, Dean Wareham (playing Galaxie 500’s On Fire), Fruit Bats, Britta Phillips, Spiral Stairs, Kelley Stoltz, Heron Oblivion, Pure Bathing Culture, Olden Yolk, and more. The lineup of its third, Walla Walla edition, is still to be announced.
