I Am the Polish Army prep debut LP (listen), playing shows

Brooklyn trio I Am the Polish Army are centered around the songs of singer/guitarist Emma DeCorsey. She started the group in the late ’00s before going into hibernation and resurfacing in 2016. The group’s debut album, My Old Man, will be out March 31 and there’s a bluesy, ’90s indie rock style at work here, that really comes into focus when the harmonies kick in. The band will play Brooklyn’s Sunnyvale on Wednesday (2/8) with The Icebergs (whose record release show it is), Big Bliss, and Jessica Delfino. Tickets are on sale. They’ll also celebrate the LP’s release at The Gutter on 3/31, details still to come.
