Ilana Glazer hosting “Generator Series” as lead-up to midterm elections
You may remember that Broad City‘s Ilana Glazer hosted the four-part “Generator Series” in July where she interviewed activists and politicians “to see how they each serve us – the people.” She’s bringing the Generator Series back for four nights leading up to the midterm elections, happening at Murmrr Theatre on October 28, 29 and 30 and November 1. Here’s more info:
Generator is a movement inspiring people who live in the U.S. to humanize policy through storytelling. We achieve this by using social media platforms to share about how policy affects our everyday lives. Founded by Broad City’s Ilana Glazer, Ruby Anaya and Glennis Meagher, we humbly admit: we don’t know shit!
This Generator Series is a limited 4-part event focused on progressive candidates running in the midterms and activists working towards social justice. Ilana Glazer will be interviewing activists and politicians to see how they each serve us – the people. This election might be one of the most important in our lifetime, so we are also coordinating volunteer buses for those able and interested the weekend of November 3rd to canvas for the candidates you see at the show. We’ll also share additional ways to volunteer – let’s do all that we can and work together to make sure this election counts.
Guests have not been announced, but tickets are on sale.
Meanwhile, Ilana’s Broad City co-star, Abbi Jacobson, will soon be on the road promoting her new book.
The final season of Broad City will air in 2019.
