Metallic hardcore legends Integrity turned 30 this year (and we interviewed band leader Dwid Hellion about their vast career), but as always, this long-running band continues to look forward. They put out plenty of worthy new music this year, including a split with Krieg and a revved-up Ozzy Osbourne cover. Dwid’s electronic/noise project Psywarfare also released a 20-minute song off his first-ever full-length album, which will come out in 2019 via Relapse. Integrity have some plans lined up for 2019 too, including some rare East Coast shows in January with support from Full of Hell, Genocide Pact, Devil Master, Ilsa, Year of the Knife (who replaced Candy), and Dwid’s aforementioned Psywarfare project.

As the year is winding down, we asked Dwid and current Integrity guitarist Dom Romeo (who also used to run the now-defunct A389 label and played in Pulling Teeth and other bands) what their favorite albums of the year were. They both picked Devil Master and Ilsa (who play those January shows), and they also both picked Nothing and Author & Pinisher. As for their other picks, Dwid had Pig Destroyer, Endon, Cold Cave, and more; and Dom had Candy, Turnstile, Voivod, and more. Check out their full lists below.
