Interpol guitarist Daniel Kessler releasing album with Big Noble side project (stream a track)

Big Noble is a collaboration between Interpol’s Daniel Kessler and sound designer Joseph Fraioli and they will release their debut album, First Light, on February 3 via their own Affiliates Sound imprint on Kobalt Label Services. That’s the cover art above and the first single, “Peg” (not a Steely Dan cover), is out now. The soundscape-y instrumental definitely floats in the same atmosphere as Interpol and you can stream it below.

You may have experience Big Noble’s sound installation, “Sounds of NYC,” as part of Sonos Studios NYC earlier this fall. Kessler will be here in NYC at the end of the month for Interpol‘s three sold-out shows at Terminal 5.
