ionnalee releasing new album 'REMEMBER THE FUTURE,' going on tour

ionnalee, the current moniker of Swedish art pop artist Jonna Lee (also known as iamamiwhoami), is releasing her new album REMEMBER THE FUTURE on May 31 via her own label, To whom it may concern. The album features contributions from her longtime collaborator Claes Björklund and it was mixed by Johannes Berglund (who’s worked with Fever Ray, The Knife, Owen Pallett, and more). Lead single “Open Sea” will be out this Friday (2/8), and that’s the artwork for the single above (album art still TBA). Stay tuned for more.

Having played as a member of Röyksopp’s live band for the past three years, ionnalee is now set to go on her lengthiest North American tour since adopting the ionnalee moniker (she played a few shows here last year). “I am over the moon to be releasing this album and to be returning to America. Gonna play you some new music, made purely out of the fire I received from the audience during my debut US tour last year. See you in a few months,” she says.

The tour begins with two nights in NYC: Elsewhere Hall on April 19 and Bowery Ballroom on April 21 with Allie X opening both dates. Tickets for Elsewhere and Bowery (and the whole tour) go on sale Friday (2/8) at noon, with various presales beforehand. All dates are listed below.

While you wait for the new single, watch/listen to last year’s visual album EVERYONE AFRAID TO BE FORGOTTEN, below.
