Is Brooklyn venue Sunnyvale closing?

Brooklyn Bazaar recently hosted its final show at its Greenpoint Ave location, and now comes word that another Brooklyn venue may be closing its doors soon. East Williamsburg venue Sunnyvale currently has only two shows listed on its calendar, and one of them, The Spill Canvas, The Juliana Theory, and Cory Wells on Saturday night (12/7), has been moved to Rough Trade, where it’s currently sold out. The other happens tonight (12/6), when Montreal duo Sorry Girls are scheduled to play. It seems possible that could be Sunnyvale’s final show, as word has been circulating for at least a couple of months about their impending closure, with Sad at Sunnyvale and Ronx both tweeting about rescheduled shows.

If true, we’ll be sorry to see yet another Brooklyn space go. Stay tuned for official word from the venue.
