Islands reissuing 'Return to the Sea,' playing 10th anniversary shows

Last year, Islands released not one but two new albums. This year, they’ll celebrate the 10th anniversary of their great 2006 debut, Return to the Sea. It’s getting reissued and remastered, with never-before-released archival photos and an essay by frontman Nick Diamonds. The artwork also “received a tasteful touch-up” (that’s it pictured above). Islands are also touring this month, and then playing Return to the Sea in full at New York and LA shows in December. At those, they’ll be joined by a string section and special guests. The LA show happens December 2 at Hollywood Forever Cemetery and NYC is December 10 at Webster Hall. Tickets for LA and NYC go on sale Friday (10/7) at 10 AM local time. All dates are listed below.
