Italian shoegazers Be Forest releasing new LP (stream it), touring around SXSW

Italian shoegaze trio Be Forest are back with new album Knocturne, that’s out this Friday via We Were Never Being Boring, which is their first in four years.. Taking cues from groups like Slowdive, Pale Saints and The Chameleons, the album is dark, lush and gorgeous, with pounding toms, washes of delayed guitar and ethereal vocals. A stream of the whole album premieres in this post and you can listen below.

Be Forest will tour this spring around their appearance at SXSW 2019, kicking things off with two NYC shows as part of the New Colossus Festival. They’ll play Pianos on March 8 with Boys, Yohuna and Victoria Reed (tickets), and then Coney Island Baby on March 9 with Construction & Destruction, Orchards, Hickeys, Yohuna and Fatherson (tickets). The band then head straight to Austin, with post-SXSW shows happening in Chicago, Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, Oakland, Los Angeles and more. They’ll stop in Brooklyn before heading back to Italy to play Elsewhere Zone One on April 3 (tickets).
