Itasca streaming new album ‘Morning Flower’

Itasca Morning Flower

Itasca (aka Kayla Cohen) recently revealed that she was working on a new record in New Mexico, her first since 2016’s great Open to Chance (on Paradise of Bachelors). She has now unleashed the fruits of her labors, Morning Flower, which is being called a “side-step” to Open to Chance. It’s more focused on instrumental guitar work and less on Kayla’s singing, but it’s still a similarly gorgeous dose of psych-folk to Open to Chance. All the artwork and titles for the album were made by poet/artist Gunnar Tchida. It’s coming out on tape this Thursday (2/15) via Sophie Weil’s LA-based imprint Dove Cove, and you can stream it in full now. Listen here:
