Kurt Vile began his current tour in New Haven, CT on Wednesday (2/17) and landed in Northampton, MA for a show at Pearl Street Nightclub last night (2/18). To the surprise of no one, Kurt’s frequent collaborator J Mascis, who lives just outside of Northampton in Amherst, showed up at the show to join him on stage. That’s one pic above and you can check out another below, along with the setlist from the New Haven show.

Kurt also recently expanded his tour to include a show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 17 with Ryan Adams headlining. Tickets for that exciting double bill are on sale now. Updated dates are listed below.

One of the last times J Mascis joined Kurt was to perform “Pretty Pimpin” on Colbert in December. On that same episode, Colbert had Kurt tell a story of the first show he ever played, which he says was in a haunted mansion, “not like a tourist attraction, a real haunted house full of ghosts and goblins and such.” Watch the full ‘Road Stories With Kurt Vile’ video below.
