Today we learned the very sad news that iconic Rush drummer Neil Peart passed away at the age of 67 after an over three-year battle with brain cancer. Fellow artists and others have taken to social media to pay tribute, including fellow drummers Lars Ulrich, Tommy Lee, Dave Grohl, Steven Drozd, Chad Smith, Questlove, Max Weinberg, Fred Armisen, Glenn Kotche, Jon Wurster, Sheila E, Dave Lombardo, Rikki Rockett, and Peter Criss, as well as Peter Frampton, Superchunk, Jack Black, Geezer Butler, , Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Mets/Dodgers catcher Mike Piazza, Dâm-Funk, Sloan, Carl Newman, Judd Apatow, Adam Sandler, Deadwood‘s W.
