James Blake

James Blake released his album, announced LA & NYC shows

James Blake said he’d be releasing his new album The Colour In Anything at midnight GMT (8 PM EST) but it’s actually out an hour early. It’s on iTunes (but not yet available in the US), streaming on Spotify (listen below). It features Frank Ocean as a co-writer and Rick Rubin as a co-producer, but no sign of that Kanye collaboration or the 20-minute song. “I Need A Forest Fire” has guest vocals from Bon Iver. That’s the artwork above.

James also told The Guardian that Frank Ocean’s new album — which apparently will come out at some point!? — features co-writing from him in return.

James Blake also announced two US shows: May 16 at the Belasco Theatre in LA and May 18 at Webster Hall in NYC. Ticket info coming soon. UPDATE: Tickets for the NYC show go on sale Monday (5/9) at 10 AM.
