Jamie Lidell releasing new LP, replacing BADBADNOTGOOD at Herbie Hancock Celebrate Brooklyn show
Due to unforeseen circumstances, BADBADNOTGOOD have had cancel their opening spot for the Herbie Hancock concert at the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! Festival in Prospect Park on August 11. Jamie Lidell, along with his band The Royal Pharaohs, will be the replacement. The show will be with Herbie’s new band (that includes Terrace Martin), and Robert Glasper Experiment will perform an additional opening set as well. Tickets, which benefit BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, are on sale now.
Jamie does not have any other North American tour dates announced, but his new album Building A Beginning will be released October 14 via Jajulin Records. He released a single “Walk Right Back” earlier this month. Listen to that below.
