Jay Z headlining multiple 2017 festivals, teasing music with Swizz Beatz
Not counting his guest appearance at the Bad Boy Family Reunion at Barclays Center last year, Jay Z hasn’t played a proper live set in the US since 2015. In the past week, however, he was announced as the headliner for three US festivals: Philly’s Made In America, Austin’s ACL, and Queens’ The Meadows, where, among other things, he’ll share a stage with his former rival (and Queens native) Nas.
One would think something is clearly stirring, and a recent Instagram from Swizz Beatz adds some fuel to that fire. Swizz, who’s fresh off playing the Ruff Ryders reunion and is working on a new album, posted the above picture with the caption, “They don’t even know what’s about to happen. Album ModeZone.” It could be a verse on Swizz’s new album, a tease that we’re getting a new Jay Z album, or none of the above. Stay tuned.
Last month, Jay and Tyler the Creator appeared on a new Frank Ocean song, “Biking.” Listen to that below.
Jay also plays UK fest V Festival in August. All currently announced dates are listed below.
