The 2017 edition of the free Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival wraps up this weekend with the annual Americana Fest NYC.

On Saturday there are two shows. At 2 PM at Hearst Plaza it’s Traveller, the roots rock supergroup featuring Cory Chisel, Robert Ellis, and Jonny Fritz (aka Jonny Corndawg), and also on the bill are Flaco Jiménez, and alt-country singer/violinist/guitarist Amanda Shires.

Then at 7 PM on Saturday at Damrosch Park it’s a big show headlined by Americana greats The Jayhawks, who released their ninth album, Paging Mr. Proust, in 2016. Also on the bill is a tribute to the late, great rock n’ roll icon Chuck Berry led by Living Colour’s Vernon Reid with a host of special guests, and the night begins with Low Cut Connie.

On Sunday at 7 PM at Damrosch Park, Americana Fest NYC and Lincoln Center Out of Doors wraps up the season with the great singer, songwriter and guitarist Bonnie Raitt, (whose 1989 album Nick of Time came in at #52 on NPR’s list of 150 Greatest Albums Made by Women) and Memphis soul legend Don Bryant (who wrote “I Can’t Stand the Rain” and other classics).

Like all LC Out of Doors shows, they’re free and open to the public, but they do cap entry so get there early.

Tonight as part of LC Out of Doors it’s Mexican music star Natalia Lafourcad, and an opening set from the terrific Vagabon (who has put together a special band for tonight’s show featuring members of Mitski’s band, Julie Byrne’s band, and more). That’s at 7 PM.
