Jeff Rosenstock shares "Melba" video, co-directed by tourmate David Combs

Jeff Rosenstock recently released his Polyvinyl debut POST-, one of the best rock albums of early 2018 and perhaps Jeff’s best solo album yet, and he’s now got a new video for its song “Melba.” It was directed by David Combs (who sings in Bad Moves, Spoonboy, and The Max Levine Ensemble) and Ben Epstein, and here’s what Combs says about it:

Jeff wanted to make a video featuring a character who, consequence free, carelessly destroys everything around them. The idea of such a character reminded me of how often the abuse of power is a thoughtless exercise for those who hold it, so we decided to expand on the idea and make it a commentary on how abusive patterns get replicated — where the effects are passed downward hierarchically and the people with the least power experience the consequences most intensely. You know, also it’s fun to watch people smash shit, so we tried to have a good time with that too.

Jeff began his tour last night (2/15) in Phoenix with Lemuria and Roar, and he’s got an April run with David Combs’ band Bad Moves and UK indie-punks Martha. That run includes Brooklyn shows at Warsaw on 4/19 & 4/20 (night one is on sale, night two is sold out). Updated dates are listed below.
