Jeff Tweedy played ‘Seth Meyers,’ collabed with Justin Vernon, & more Wilco news
There’s a lot going on in the wide wide world of Wilco. Jeff Tweedy has a new album out this Friday (6/23), titled Together at Last, which features acoustic renditions of songs by Wilco and his other various projects. You can check out the tracklist and artwork below. Jeff stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Monday night to perform Wilco’s “I’m Trying to Break Your Heart” and you can watch that below. He’ll be on the show again tonight to perform Summerteeth‘s “I’m Always in Love,” so set your DVR. UPDATE: Watch “I’m Always in Love” below as well.
Meanwhile Wilco’s semi-annual Solid Sound Festival happens this weekend (June 23 – 25) at Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA. Wilco will perform their 1997 album Being There in full, as chosen by the fans, and the festival also features a reunited Shaggs (!), Television, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Dave Alvin and Phil Avlin with the Guilty Ones, Kevin Morby, comedians such as Nick Offerman and Michael Ian Black and more. Weekend passes and single-day tickets are still available.
Meanwhile, both Wilco and Tweedy (Jeff’s group with his son, Spencer) played Eaux Claires last weekend, and festival founder Justin Vernon joined Tweedy for their whole set. You can watch them perform Wilco’s “California Stars” below.
