JAMC's Jim and William Reid

Jesus and Mary Chain’s William Reid shares new Spotify playlist

A couple years ago we posted a Spotify playlist made by Jesus & Mary Chain frontman Jim Reid. Now here’s one from his brother (and JAMC guitarist) William Reid that he’s calling the “In No Particular Order All Great Tunes Playlist.” That tells you what to expect but, more specifically, it features songs from all over the map, including Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood, The Beach Boys, industrial icons DAF, Bing Crosby & The Andrews Sisters, Bob Dylan, Daniel Johnston, Deerhoof, Tegan and Sara, Russian duo t.A.T.u., The Ramones, America, Hank Williams, Bad Religion, ’80s indie groups Orange Juice, Felt, Television Personalities and Tracey Thorn’s pre-Everything But the Girl band Marine Girls, and more. He doesn’t aim for the obvious hits in most cases either. You can stream that below.

JAMC were set to play their 1987 album Darklands in full at European festivals this summer; whether those happen or not remains to be seen. They’ll also play Darklands on a UK/EU tour in February 2020 and hopefully the world will be back to some kind of normality by then. Those dates are listed below.
