Jim James, Teddy Abrams & The Louisville Orchestra at Le Poisson Rouge (pics, full video)

Jim James was in NYC this weekend to celebrate the release of The Order of Nature, his collaborative, orchestral album with composer and conductor Teddy Abrams. On Saturday, Jim and Teddy held an event at The McKittrick Hotel, playing a few songs off the album and talking about it with Jon Batiste. Then on Sunday (10/20), with help from by members of The Louisville Orchestra who played on the album, they performed the new album in full at Le Poisson Rouge, almost seamlessly and without breaks. Similarly, Jim didn’t address the crowd, either, letting the gorgeous music — and its ecological message — speak for itself.

The show was livestreamed via Relix, and you can watch an archive of that below and check out pictures in the gallery above.
