Joan as Police Woman preps 'Damned Devotion' shares "Warning Bell," touring
Joan Wasser will release a new Joan as Police Woman album, titled Damned Devotion, on February 9 via Play it Again Sam. The first single from the album is the lovely “Warning Bell” which has a video, directed by H Spencer Young, featuring Joan singing directly into the camera in the back of a taxi. Says Joan:
Words mean different things to different people and it’s important to me to allow the listener to have images of their own. That being said, the weather cooperated with us that night – rain and moisture in the air has always made me thoughtful. We wanted to capture the mystery of New York City while driving through Chinatown and parts of Brooklyn that hold deep meaning for me.

Joan will play a release show for Damned Devotion on February 26 at Rough Trade in NYC. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, December 15 at noon. It’s currently her only North American date, but she has a European tour lined up for the spring. All dates are listed below.
