John Cale performing VU’s debut LP in Paris with Animal Collective & more
Velvet Underground founding member John Cale is set to perform the Velvet Underground’s classic 1967 debut album in full in Paris at the Philharmonie de Paris on April 3. He’ll be joined by a bunch of special guests for the performance, including Animal Collective, Mark Lanegan, Pete Doherty and Carl Barat (Libertines), Etienne Daho, Nick Franglen (Lemon Jelly) and actress/singer Lou Doillon. Cale appeared on Animal Collective’s new album, so this will mark yet another collaboration for those two.
