John Fogerty @ The Paramount – 1/30/14
Former frontman of swamp rock vets Creedence Clearwater Revival and active solo artist John Fogerty last played NYC on his fall 2013 tour and he just returned to the area for two Long Island shows at The Paramount this week. We caught last night’s show (1/30), which saw the rock legend and his band (which includes his son Shane on guitar) playing tons of old CCR favorites like “Born On The Bayou,” “Who’ll Stop The Rain,” “Have You Ever Seen The Rain,” “Down On The Corner,” “Fortunate Son,” “Bad Moon Rising” and many more. Pictures of that show are in this post.
John hangs around the area to play Howard Stern’s birthday party at Hammerstein Ballroom tonight (1/31) with Steven Tyler, Jon Bon Jovi, Louis CK, David Letterman, and Sarah Silverman. He also has some festival appearances coming up this year, including New Orleans Jazz Fest.
