Phantom Thread trailer

The trailer for Phantom Thread, the new film from Paul Thomas Anderson, is out now, and stars Daniel Day-Lewis in his alleged last performance as an actor before retiring. Lewis plays a 1950s fashion designer in London who becomes infatuated by a woman (Vicky Krieps).

The film features a score from Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood, who has scored many of Anderson’s films in the past, including There Will Be Blood (PTA and DDL’s last pairing), The Master, and Inherent Vice. Anderson has also directed a documentary about Greenwood’s side project Junun, as well as a few videos surrounding Radiohead’s A Moon Shaped Pool.

The new trailer looks absolutely gorgeous, and Phantom Thread marks the first Anderson feature where he is also cinematographer. Watch the trailer for the film, which is out Christmas Day, below.
