Josephine Foster & Ed Askew playing Trans-Pecos tonight

Folk singer Josephine Foster may be a contemporary artist, but she feels transported directly from 1969 (it makes a lot of sense she’s on the new Karen Dalton tribute). Tonight (7/29) she plays NYC with a folk singer who actually is from the late ’60s, the legendary Ed Askew (who she’s played with before). The show is at Trans-Pecos and opening is another ’60s-inspired artist, Colby Nathan (of New England Patriots). Tickets are on sale.
It’s the only date for Ed Askew at the moment, and Josephine’s
only other date is also in NYC this week: a free show at Fulton Stall Market on Friday (7/31).
