Judas Priest's Rob Halford kicked a fan's phone out of his hand (watch)

Heavy metal legends Judas Priest released their most acclaimed album in a while, Firepower, in 2018, and they’ve been out on tour supporting it. That tour made its way to Rosemont IL’s Rosemont Theatre on Saturday (5/25), where six songs into the set, frontman Rob Halford had an incident with a person in the audience. As you can see in the videos below, around nine seconds into the first and 39 seconds into the second, Halford kicks a raised cellphone out of someone’s hand during “Judas Rising,” sending it flying.

UPDATE: Rob Halford has commented on the situation.

Blabbermouth reports that eyewitnesses say Halford’s irritation appeared to be with the the continuous light coming from the audience member’s phone while they were recording video. Pro tip: turn that light off, and while you’re at it, make sure your flash and focus assist lights are off too while taking pictures or video at shows.

Judas Priest otherwise seem to be fine with photos and filming unlike Bob Dylan, Misfits, Jack White and A Perfect Circle.
