Judy Collins preps new LP ft. Chatham County Line, touring, playing Joe's Pub residency

Folk icon Judy Collins will release Winter Stories on November 8. She made the album with Norwegian folk artist and frequent collaborator Jonas Fjeld and bluegrass band Chatham County Line which Judy says she knew would be a great fit. “The language of music overarches everything, including geography. When we came together in the studio, we found we could speak to each other in a way that was compatible and nuanced.” With only a few days of rehearsal and pre-production, Judy, Jonas and CCL tracked the album almost as quickly. The album includes covers of Joni Mitchell’s “The River,” Jimmy Webb’s “The Highwayman” and Stan Rogers’ “Northwest Passage,” plus new songs and more. Stay tuned for more details.

Judy, Jonas and Chatham County Line will be playing select shows together this fall, including a 10-show, eight-night residency at NYC’s Joe’s Pub on November 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 25, 26 & 27.. Tickets are on sale.
