Julian Casablancas + The Voidz playing Shea on Monday?

Rawk Hawks

Brooklyn’s Big Ups, who headlined local DIY venue Shea Stadium earlier this month (9/4), will return to the venue on Monday, September 22 as an opener for “Naranja Bausch” from Brooklyn and headliners “Rawk Hawks” from New York, NY. There don’t actually appear to be bands called “Rawk Hawk” from New York or “Naranja Bausch” from Brooklyn, but Rawk Hawks was one of the fake song titles from the leaked tracklist for Julian Casablancas + The Voidz‘s new album which comes out this week (9/23). Cult Records, the label Julian owns, favorited Shea’s tweet advertising the show, and Big Ups retweeted this person saying, “Seeing @wearebigups on Monday w/ @cultrecords at @sheastadiumbk” (Cult favorited that one too). Hmmm…

We’re not sure who “Naranja Bausch” is (Mr. Twin Sister? Cerebral Ballzy? Har Mar Superstar?). Any ideas? Most Shea shows don’t have advance tickets, but tickets are on sale now for this one.

Julian and the Voidz leave for tour in October and that includes a NYC show with Shabazz Palaces on 11/25 at Hammerstein (tickets).
