Julianna Barwick & Destroyer opening for Explosions in the Sky (separately)
Post rockers Explosions in the Sky are on tour now in support of their new album Wilderness, with two NYC shows coming up this month. Since we last spoke, very cool openers have been announced for those shows (and others).
Ambient pop artist Julianna Barwick, who released Will earlier this year, opens the Terminal 5 (9/22) show (and a few other dates on this tour). The next night, the Kings Theatre (9/23) show will be opened by a solo Destroyer set (aka Dan Bejar). That doubles as the NYC stop on Destroyer’s solo tour, where he’ll be debuting “at least 10 new guitar-based tracks.” Tickets for both NYC shows are still available.
EITS also play Hudson, NY’s Basilica SoundScape. Julianna Barwick also opens for Bon Iver in San Diego. Updated dates are listed below.
