Julien Baker is guest curator of 2019 Sled Island fest (initial lineup & tix)

The 2019 edition of the Sled Island music festival happens June 19-23 at venues in downtown Calgary, AB. This year’s guest curator is Julien Baker, who hand-picked Japanese Breakfast, JPEGMAFIA, Hop Along, Bully, Torres, Worries, Death Bells and Squirrel Flower to play the festival. The initial lineup also includes Cass McCombs, William Basinski, Man or Astro-Man?, Cate Le Bon, Fugazi offshoot The Messthetics, Oblivians and more.

Festival passes for Sled Island are on sale now, and tickets to select individual shows go on sale Friday, February 15 at noon Mountain Time. Lots more artists are still to be announced but you can check out the initial Sled Island 2019 lineup below.
