Kamaiyah

Kamaiyah playing Baby's w/ Jimi Tents before Warm Up (and other shows)

Rising Oakland rapper Kamaiyah, who was in NYC earlier this month for a free House of Vans show with Rae Sremmurd and Denzel Curry, is returning for Warm Up at MoMA PS1 on July 23. That outdoor daytime show is with Branko, MC Bin Laden, Maluca Mala, Milka La Mas Dura, IMAABS and Endgame. Tickets are still available.

The night before Warm Up, Kamaiyah will play one of Pigeons and Planes’ ‘No Ceilings’ shows in Brooklyn at Baby’s All Right (7/22). That’s got direct support from the very promising Brooklyn rapper Jimi Tents, plus Wisconsin’s Trapo and Rhode Island’s Khary. Tickets are on sale now. Kamaiyah has other dates coming up, including Treasure Island and FYF. All are listed below.

Kamaiyah is on not one, but two of the best rap songs of the year so far: her own “How Does It Feel” off her very solid debut mixtape A Good Night In The Ghetto, and YG‘s “Why You Always Hatin” (with Drake). Listen to both, and music from everyone on the Baby’s show, below.
