UK group Kero Kero Bonito, who transformed from more of a laptop thing to a proper guitar/bass/drums band last year, have just announced a fall North American tour. They’ve done so by writing a song about going on that tour, which is a very KKB kind of thing to do and is unsurprisingly very catchy. Dates for the first part of the tour, including the Brooklyn show at Elsewhere Hall on October 17, are with Tanukichan, while West Coast dates are with Frankie Cosmos. Tickets for Elsewhere go on sale Friday, July 20 at noon.

Kero Kero Bonito say a new album Time ‘n’ Place is due soon. All dates are listed, along with recent single “Time Today,” below.

Speaking of Frankie Cosmos, they’ve just released a video for “Duet” off of this year’s Vessel. In it, Greta takes a CPR class and ends up having a deeper relationship with the practice dummy than she would’ve expected. You can watch that below. Frankie Cosmos also have lots more tour dates than just their run with KKB, including three NYC-area shows with Stef Chura and Lomelda. Updated tour dates are listed below.

And finally, former Frankie Cosmos tour mates Trust Fund, who just released a terrific new album, have decided to call it quits. Ellis Jones, who is pretty much is Trust Fund for all intents and purposes, shared the news today:

hi everyone,
thanks very much for the kind responses to the album — it means a lot. for various non-dramatic reasons it’s going to be the last trust fund record, and i’m happy that we maybe didn’t fuck it up at the end there. so: here is a video for ‘abundant’ that we did with james hankins. it’s our third collaboration with him, and a lovely note to finish on, i think. thanks everyone for a lovely few years, it has been a real treat xx

Given that he was the group, perhaps James will announce a new musical project soon. Stay tuned.
