Kesha shares “Resentment” ft. Sturgill Simpson & Brian Wilson

Kesha

As mentioned, the upcoming Kesha album High Road has a song called “Resentment” that features both Sturgill Simpson and Beach Boys mastermind Brian Wilson (as well as Wrabel). That song is out now, and it’s a tender acoustic country ballad that finds Kesha harmonizing with her big-name guests, who flesh the song out well but never steal the spotlight. Talking about her collaborators, Kesha says, “Brian Wilson is one of my personal musical heroes, so when he said he would collaborate with me on the recording…that moment was one of the most exciting in my career. Then add in Sturgill who I respect and admire so much, as well as my close friend the insanely talented songwriter Wrabel, and this record felt more like a dream than just another song to me.”

You can listen to the song and watch its video (self-shot on an iPhone) below. The album’s previous single features Big Freedia and you can revisit that one below too. Kesha also plans to announce a nationwide tour in January.
