Kevin Morby, Matthew E White, Hand Habits, more playing NYC “piano recital”

The Piano Recital “is an unique show featuring successive, solo, performances by artists most often known for playing an instrument other than the piano.” Kevin Morby played one in LA earlier this year, and now he’s coming to NYC to do it again on November 14 at Joe’s Pub. It’s got a pretty incredible lineup all around, also including Erin Rae, Matthew E White, Kevin Morby collaborator Meg Duffy (aka Hand Habits), and King Tuff, and Joe’s Pub is a gorgeous, unique location to see artists like these. Tickets are on sale now.

The show is just a few days before Kevin Morby and Meg Duffy both perform at the Last Waltz tribute at NYC-area venue Capitol Theatre with Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee), Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), and more (sold out).
