Kim Gordon‘s current band Body/Head continued their marathon of local shows at MoMA last night (11/21), following the IPR benefit they played last week. It was one of MoMA’s PopRally series, and was quite the audio/visual experience, that included Kim going into the crowd with her guitar at one point. As always, Body/Head were noisy and dissonant, and as you might say, ferociously, beautifully inspiring. Kathleen Hanna was supposed to DJ, but she was replaced at the last minute by her husband/Beastie Boy Ad Rock due to illness. Fittingly, Ad Rock’s DJ set included a Bikini Kill song. Pictures of the show are in this post.

Ad-Rock will appear on stage in NYC again soon – on December 7th at Joe’s Pub with his friend Champagne Jerry who was also at MoMA to hang and support his fellow rapper.
