Kimya Dawson playing NY shows with Your Heart Breaks & Shellshag

Kimya Dawson

We have been excited about the comeback of Kimya Dawson since she released a new song and spent a good chunk of last year and earlier this year touring, so it’s good news to hear she’s got more shows coming up later in 2019 too. So far she has scheduled at least two NY shows with her longtime collaborators, Seattle queer-folk vets Your Heart Breaks, who she also played West Coast shows with earlier this year and whose new album Drone Butch Blues she contributed to.

The shows happen September 12 at The Beverly in Kingston, NY and September 18 at Market Hotel in Bushwick, the latter of which also includes long-running DIY duo Shellshag (who also joined Kimya for her co-headlining tour with AJJ last year). Tickets for both shows are on sale now. No word yet on other upcoming Kimya Dawson shows, but we’ll let you know if that changes.

Update: Kimya is also playing Connecticut’s Space Ballroom on September 17.

Kimya also plays Hermione on the upcoming Harry and the Potters album.
