Kississippi announce new album 'Sunset Blush,' share "Easier to Love"

When Kississippi played our Friday day party at SXSW, they played some new songs from their anticipated TBA album and main member Zoe Reynolds said details on the album would be out very soon. Well, now they’re finally here: the album is called Sunset Blush, the band is self-releasing it digitally on April 6 (they had initially signed to SideOneDummy for the album but then that label parted ways with a bunch of bands), it was produced by Kyle Pulley, and new single “Easier To Love” is out now. Compared to the fuzzy indie rock of recent single “Cut Yr Teeth,” “Easier To Love” is a little slower and driven by electronics… until it switches gears halfway through and becomes a crushing rock song. Zoe’s voice shines just as much as it did on “Cut Yr Teeth,” and this song is keeping hopes high for Sunset Blush. Listen below.

Kississippi begin their tour with Dashboard Confessional and Beach Slang in Houston tonight (3/20), and that tour also includes shows at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on March 29 (tickets) and Asbury Park’s Stone Pony on April 2 (tickets). Updated dates are listed below.
