Knækkede Stemmer making US debut at NYC one-off with Shredded Nerve & Scant (who tour together after)
Danish tape-noise master Mikkel Rørbo has been working under a new alias, Knækkede Stemmer. The former brains behind Alleypisser already has a few releases out on notable experimental labels Jartecknet, Nostilevo, and upcoming ones on Total Black and Alien Passengers.
Rørbo comes to the US for the very first time this Sunday (4/12) at Trans-Pecos for a Knækkede Stemmer show with Shredded Nerve, (who were in NYC for a show with Pharmakon recently) Scant, Remnants and Arbiter. It’s his only US show. No advance tickets, admission is $8 at the door.
The show also serves as a kickoff for Chrondritic Sound labelmates Shredded Nerve and Scant’s impending west coast tour. Running from Tuscon, AZ to a two-night finale in Los Angeles, the tour features plenty of other experimentalists such as Marshstepper, Hive Mind (who Shredded Nerve and Scant toured with last summer) and a handful of others. Shredded Nerve and Scant will be playing a few collaborative sets on the tour, check out all of those dates below.
Marshstepper are also set to play the massive upcoming Nothing Changes party at Output on May 13 with the stellar lineup of Merzbow, Genesis P-Orridge, Wolf Eyes’ Aaron Dilloway, Prurient, Pharmakon, Ron Morelli, Uniform and more. Tickets for that show, which is part of Red Bull Music Academy, are available now.
