Kool Keith playing shows, including Rockaway Beach w/ Edan & Paten Locke

Eccentric rap vet Kool Keith is always full of surprises and one of those is he’s doing a show at Rockaway Beach’s Low Tide Bar on September 10 with guest DJ’s Edan (who DJ’s the BV-presented Your Old Droog and Wiki show), and  Paten Locke. That’s the flyer above, chances are there won’t be tigers at the show. Other details are still TBA, but you know, relax, it’s the beach. UPDATE: It’s free!

Meanwhile, Keith plays’s Oakland, CA’s The Parish tonight (8/31) and Miami’s Churchill’s Pub on September 23.

Kool Keith recently reunited with Dan the Automator and DJ Qbert to bring their legendary Dr. Octagon project on the road earlier this year, two decades after the release of their debut, Dr. Octagonecologyst, one of the most seminal, surreal rap records of the 1990s. Stream the full record below.
