Krallice release collab album with Neurosis' Dave Edwardson, playing shows

Krallice

Experimental black metal greats Krallice have taken to surprise releases lately, and after revealing that they’d have two albums out in 2017, the first is now here. It’s a collaboration with Neurosis bassist and sometimes-vocalist Dave Edwardson, who is on vocals and synths on this album. It’s a five-song project called Loüm, and so far it sounds pretty brutal. Stream the whole thing below and stay tuned for the band’s eighth proper album, which is called Go Be Forgotten. In Krallice’s words, “no teasers, no advance tracks, no lyric videos.”

The Brooklyn band also have three hometown shows coming up. They play November 5 at H0l0 (1090 Wyckoff Ave in Ridgewood) with Yautja and Pyrrrhon (tickets); November 29 at Saint Vitus with Geryon, Hathenter and Kevin Hufnagel (tickets); and “LEVIZALOOZA” at Matchless on December 16 which has Krallice’s Lev Weinstein playing a show with all five of his bands: Krallice, Geryon, Woe, Anicon, and Pyrolatrous (tickets). LEVIZALOOZA has “no set lists, no band order, no mercy,” and will be presented in a “tag team format.”

Woe also play the Invisible Oranges-presented Nails show at Knitting Factory Brooklyn on November 18, which also has Couch Slut on the bill (tickets).

Pyrolatrous are also releasing a new album and playing a release show on November 11 at Union Pool with a set from Krallice’s Mick Barr and surprise guests (tickets).
