Krist Novoselic joined Foo Fighters to cover Vaselines’ “Molly Lips” in Seattle (watch)

Dave Grohl Kristi Novoselic

Krist Novoselic has joined his former Nirvana bandmate Dave Grohl‘s band Foo Fighters before, and he did it again last night (9/1) at Seattle’s Safeco Field, this time to cover The Vaselines‘ “Molly’s Lips,” which Nirvana had a well-known cover of (included on their 1992 compilation Incesticide. The band, whose lineup also includes Nirvana live member (and Germs co-founder) Pat Smear, did the song in the same punked-up way that Nirvana did back in the day, and they sounded great. Check out a video below.

Krist Novoselic was in the house because his band Giants in the Trees were opening the show. They’re also playing the Foo Fighters’ Cal Jam ’18 in October.
