Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix & more honored in L.E.S. '27 Club' mural

Members of the 27 Club have been honored with a new mural in NYC at the corner of Rivington and Forsyth. The mural was painted by Eduardo Kobra, and he uses that same split face style he used for the Michael Jackson mural that went up in NYC earlier this year. The mural features fallen ’60s-era legends Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, as well as more recent musicians who passed away at 27, Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse. He did one of his split faces for Cobain/Joplin and one for Hendrix/Morrison, while Amy Winehouse is on her own. Check out more pictures below…
